This process orientated role will allow you to gain experience on a wide range of plants and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and fault find from schematic drawings as well as have previous experience of inverter drives.

 

Experienced In working with  relay logic and PLCs.

 

A good, practical understanding of operational plant and control systems is essential.

 

Ideally you will be qualified to HNC level or otherwise will have City and Guilds NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical subject.

 

Due to the nature of the role a valid UK driving licence is essential and as the post will work across a number of sites in the region. the preferred location of the candidate will be within easy reach of the M25 (15 minutes).

 

The work will require physical fitness and the ability to work at height with successful completion of the appropriate IPAF  training; as well as flexibility to work on an out of hours rota when necessary.

Responsibilities:

Installing and modifying new plant equipment to high standards.

 

Diagnose and repair faults on plant control systems.
 

Carrying out control and automation maintenance on a variety of equipment used in the production of asphalt and concrete including planned maintenance and reactive maintenance.

Conducting your own risk assessments and create appropriate method statements to safely carry out installation or maintenance activities.

Providing technical advice where appropriate with up to date technical knowledge, and provide training support for technical trainees.

Investigate the nature of plant failures and subsequently carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to avoid loss of plant production.

Examples of some equipment you could be working on are: motors, pumps, motor control centres, PLC, analogue loops.

As approved contractors to industry leaders we provide electrical services to over 60 sites in the Asphalt, Aggregate and Concrete industries.

 

We are currently seeking talented, experienced maintenance electrician to join our ever expanding team.


If you have a ‘can do’ attitude, a second-to-none work ethic, and you have relevant experience within heavy process industries, we would like to hear from you!

The purpose of the maintenance electrician is to provide on-site diagnostic support, inspect, maintain and repair motor control and automation equipment.

 

Working as park of the Maintenance team you will follow preventative maintenance plans as well as getting involved in small installation projects, electrical fault finding and emergency breakdown repairs to ensure plant operation 24 hours a day.
 

Package:

Our package includes competitive hourly rates depending on qualifications and experience, weekly pay, contributory pension, 20 days holiday + bank holidays.

 

Monday - Friday 40 hours + Overtime,

 

A Van will be provided following 3 months probation and assessment period

 

Participation in a 24/7 Out of Hours Standby rota or 1-in-8 night shift may be required after a suitable period of training and assessment, for which you will receive an additional payment.
